The beds were comfortable. the room provided amenities like a flat-screen TV, climate control, and a microwave oven. - the spacious bathroom and bathtubs were great. - the location was quiet and near the ocean, restaurants, entertainment, and beaches.

We stayed here for 2 nights, the hotel was exceptionally comfortable, had magnificent location on the actual ocean. Location: the venue was close enough to grocery stores, the main beaches in the area, and the restaurant located on the grounds. We stopped by Habibi Mediterranean Cafe for coffee and treats, it was a 10-15 minute walking distance from the hotel.

The Wrens Nest appears to be trying to improve it's facilities, but it has a way to go. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean although very dated. The surroundings were pleasant and restful with a hammock in the trees nearby and rocking chairs on the sun deck.
I cannot speak for other peoples rooms or for the Jacuzzi rooms, but ours certainly needed major renovations. There was a very suspect looking a/c or heating unit that we did not want to use, a persistent smell of damp and dated and dirty looking carpets. Walls were paper thin and you could hear everything going on from the upstairs and adjacent rooms. The location was a bit further away from downtown Portsmouth than we had expected. None of this should reflect on the owners or staff as they were very pleasant and helpful and I believe are trying their best to improve the place.

We loved every detail during our fantastic one-night stay at Wren's Nest Village Inn. the themed and spacious room with a shower, hair dryers, and towels was amazing. the outstanding food and excellent location made our experience even better. It was a pleasure dining at the lovely restaurant, and the accommodating staff added to the enjoyable stay.

There was a whirlpool in the bathroom.
Room was dark, bed was uncomfortable. Decor was very old fashioned, and ugly. Couch was uncomfortable, tv did not work, Hot tub in the pool area did not work, no door on the bathroom... ( I understand that this is a romantic kinda place, but having no privacy in a bathroom is just weird) Strict regulation about charging $100.00 if an extra guest comes to the room.

The village inn is conveniently located near the main beaches in the area, just a short drive away. It is also close to the ocean and not far from the town center. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly and responsive. The king size bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The blinds in the room did not open fully, making the room a bit dark.

I had a bed to rest my head. Most hotels were booked already for the weekend. They had a room available.
Skimpy continental breakfast.

They changed our room when we complained about the noise from the room above. The second room was much nicer than the first. Close to restaurants and downtown Portsmouth.
The sound-proofing from side-to-side and above is very poor. Could hear every word spoken and our ceiling creaked when the people above walked around at 2:30 am. Got zero sleep. The rooms weren't as nice as they were the last time I stayed there.
